Now that the rain has mellowed out a little here in Jackson, I figured I’d give in a little to those summer lovers and show some cool pics from Randokitty and her friend Lauren’s trip to Redrocks a couple weeks ago. This was Randokitty’s first climbing trip since ACL reconstruction in December. Meow!!!!
Randokitty leads the first pitch of “Dream of Wild Turkeys”, 5.10a.
Lauren sends the second pitch.
Randokitty stays cool on the way to the climb.
Rope art…pitch three…Birdland, 5.7.
Hey Steve, With this summer time post it seems an appropriate time to give you thanks for the entertainment, beta, thoughts and feelings this backcountry season. You show amazing commitment and resolve for this way of life that so many of us thrive in. As my knees tell me its time to take a break I’ll certainly continue to dream powder, occasionally ski corn and check out TetonAT on a regular basis until the snow begins to fall again. Keep the post a coming, enjoy those float trips this summer and see ya around.
Salaam,
Ken
Thanks Ken…much appreciated.
It’s been a rough couple weeks with not much skiing for me…mostly due to weather and work commitments. Going through withdrawals now…and I’ve even been road biking. Luckily, right now I’m packing for a week in the Winds!
Steve
‘birdland 5.8+’ uh thats a little over rated even for red rocks it is 5.7 at best and if were at the gunks it would be 5.5
Thanks…I meant to correct that.
Steve
