Great video! Good work with the helmet cam.
Thanks Alex. I think I’m going to try a VIO soon. Though I one I have now seems to work well.
Really nice. Good job with the helmet cam – is there any stabilisation? Seems to be quite stable picture.
See you’re still skiing on the VooDoo’s. With your access to gear can I assume the ski has held up to your liking? Same ones you cut the tail off of last year? Great vid. Fun skiing with the telemarkers, huh? For me it’s much more relaxed knowing I’ll be waiting for them to remove themselves from the snow at some point 🙂
Those Voodoos are currently my ‘rock skis’….but I do like them quite a bit for an all mountain ski. The cutting-off-the-tail mod has held up…even with exposed wood and all. I’ve just started to dip into the new quiver for this season…even though the snow pack is still thin. I just couldn’t look at the Megawatts sitting in the corner any more. More on that later.
Quads=Helmet-Cam Stabilization
Nice, I like the detailed play-by-play video format. Gives a good feel for the whole day. I think this will be an awesome view into the decision making process on snowpack and weather – to actually get to see everything from the view of the skier. Snowpits, sluffs, etc.
Keep up the good work.
great video steve. it was cool to see static in the winter. the last shot of your signatures is awesome. i’m making the trip from seattle to the tetons at some point to make turns this winter.
i had one boney as all hell run today at snoqualmie pass. great to be on skis, sucky snow coverage still.
Thanks! I’ve been told in the past to put more lifestyle elements into the videos. Don’t know if I did that here….but maybe more in the future.
I love the combined narration / music / and natural sound effects. Well done!
Who needs “lifestyle elements” when you’ve got such nice footage of teleskiers eating it?
More, please!
Loved the shadow-men and “heh, heh, heh,…tele”. I laughed out loud. Another great vid, Steve.
Hopefully Chris feels the same way. All in good fun…right? Thanks for visiting y’all!
Great video, we skied wimpy’s on Dec.10 and Death summer trailhead was still open. I thought static was closed to all human activity after the 1st? Have I been mistaken?
I believe the closure goes from Dec 15th – April 1st. Basically they first start by closing off areas of National Forest…then Wilderness…and then the Park.
Hello,
Could you tell me what’s the title of the song playing in the video?
Great website by the way!
Greg
Thanks Les Arcs!
It’s Wishlist…by Pearl Jam.
Steve
Nice work, Shadowman. You may have a future in docu-drama narration.
