It’s been a long time since we played “Name that Couloir” here on TetonAT.com. (Click here for past posts.) To tell you the truth, I really liked this “game”, but honestly, I felt like I ran out of good photos of Teton couloirs. I’ve been thinking of expanding this “game” to include lines in other states/countries, so if you have a good photograph to share and want to help in the fun around here, feel free to contact me and send it over. I’m happy to send you some Live to Ski” stickers for your efforts…which I’m know having made in Megawatt Blue! So hot right now. 😉
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to change the format of the game a little this time and do a video version of “Name that Couloir”. Kinda like Jeopardy…eh? As usual, if you think you know the answer to what couloir/line this is…leave it in the comments section. Good luck!
(Hint: This one is still in the Tetons)

Looks like it’s in the north fork of Avalance Canyon?
Hmmm…is that a valley lake in the background? Sorry AK…nada!
SE couloir off Mt St. John?
They all look to me like they are the Irene’s Couloir 🙂
What do you think, Gringo?
Nice one MC. Did my clue help?
Technically (for Gringo) I think it is referred to as the Southeast Face. Either way, a pretty fun ski with an entertaining and short approach this time of year.
Clue helped, saw the lake, and recognized hanging canyon. For Gringo, lets take it a step further, SE Face of the Second Summit of Mt St John.
well done. thanks for playing! 😀
i am glad my instigating can play party to some more technical naming….
