A beautiful morning ski across Jackson Lake.
Entering the fog on Jackson Lake.
It’s always colder on the lake.
Skiing into a side canyon and towards our objective.
Our dogleg couloir is hidden in the rocks and little cruxy at the bottom.
Not knowing if it goes…we boot up a wider line to the right.
Reed boots up a couloir in Colter Canyon
After determining our line is a go, Randosteve checks the
snow at the top of the dogleg couloir.
Reeds skis great snow in the funnel at the top.
Randosteve skis the sun/shade line as Reed waits below.
A ski check on some slabby snow leads us towards the crux.
Chris telemarks out of the crux.
Reed exits to the arpon below.
Scoping out our line and ski tracks from a neighboring ridge.
Choice powder turns on our way back to the lake
Randosteve slashes through a burn area.
Another slash above Jackson Lake.
nice pics. makes me want to ski across the lake some morning.
thanks js…it’s always a religious moment as the sun comes up.

Nice photos man…curious as to what the total length of that tour ended up being? Roughly…
thanks smokey. about 14.5 miles and 5000′ vert gain/loss…CTC.
looks like u gave up using ski breaks.
do u lock the toe all the way going down, or do u use a leash instead?
Siiiiiiick
alex…locked and loaded…no brakes, no leashes.
Sweet! We looked at those couloirs when we skied around that burn area a month or so ago. We figured you guys had probably skied them. Looks like you had a lot better snow than we had in the burn. Guess we should’ve waited a month.
i’ve been told this may have been a first descent.
Very nice pics…!
