View of Mount Tasman from the outhouse of the Pioneer Hut.

Just a quick update from down here in New Zealand. I’m just out from the Pioneer Hut and laying over in the town of Fox, before heading further south for some weather days in Wanaka. As you can see from the photo above, the peaks around the Fox Glacier and the hut are quite impressive, with Mount Tasman dominating the landscape and providing an amazing sight when nature calls. We made an attempt to ski Lendenfeld Peak, the peak to the left of Tasman, but skied it from a couple hundred feet from the summit, opting not to ski from the top due to extremely icy conditions. That’s the way things go sometimes and you have to live with the cards that are dealt to you. More later. Ciao for now! -Steve.

Keep rippin it up and come back safe.
