Sometimes I get bored of energy bars, blocks and gels when I’m out skinning. Don’t get me wrong now, Probars and GU products still give me the kick-in-the-butt energy I need to rally. But occasionally, the Albertson’s bakery sale rack really does the trick at getting me psyched to fill up the tank and is currently supplying me with some tasty treats like donuts, scones, muffins and turnovers. And at 15-50 cents a piece, the price sure is right. Be sure to check out the sale rack your local grocer for some great ways to save money and keep the fire burning. But be sure to leave some goodies for me…eh!!!
Got donuts?
Now this is a post I can agree with! I session that sale rack all the time, store baked chocolate chip cookies for $.99 is one of my favorites. I find that hostess donnetts work great on the skin track too.
Oh god here he goes again! McDonalds and donuts!? You wouldnt last 5 minutes in Colorado.
Mmm, is that one of the “old fashioned cake donuts”? The best. I call them F_CK Donuts, so does Alberston’s : http://bit.ly/ekAkrA
totally agree brian. all albertson 99c cookies packages are in my cart the moment i see them!
The only thing longer than a Colorado Hippies hair is the line of Californians and Texans waiting to claim Native status.
Gimme a cake donut!
Hooray Steve!
tony…that is awesome.
Okay, if I was drinking milk when I clicked on that link of Tony’s it would have shot out my nose to the living room! LMAO!! Brilliant. How the hell did you spy that?
I love how these posts have turned into Steve’s dietary confessional. Yep, we all love cookies…except, apparently, some folks from Colorado. WTF?
I have lived in CO for twenty years but I am not from here so I don’t know if I qualify. People are kind of wierd about the local thing here. Cookies, doughnuts, Little Debbie, Granola bars, Hell Ya!!! Can I have one of those?
here to let ya know that this guy loves it when ski missions can start AFTER the 6am opening of City Market so I can grab a handful of Old Fashion style doughnuts & coffee for the morning drive to the trail head! pastries & Coffee…its what’s for breakfast!
Keep some extra on your passenger seat in case you get pulled over on the way to the park.
Or even better, park your car with the windshield facing south. Leave a donut on the dash, come back after a tour if the sun is still up and you have a nice warm donut to gobble down.
Oh no, is it lunch time yet? Seeing this picture just reminded me how hungry I am. I need to find an Albertson’s, stat.
Cookies allow me to get up and get down in great shape.
please send me some donuts
