Bill Briggs rockin the Hootenanny.
Big congratulations to the first descentionist of the Grand Teton, Bill Briggs for his induction into the US National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. Rumor has it Bill found out on Monday night at the weekly Hootenanny Event held at Dornan’s in Moose. Bill’s induction has been long in the making, with many felling that his achievements were only important to Wyomingites. Which of course couldn’t be further from the truth. The official induction ceremony will be held in Park City in April.

Another entry into the TetonAT Trip Report Contest coming tomorrow!
Thanks for visiting and ciao for now!!!

Good for him! I’d say that there are some other Wyomingites (if you consider Teton County part of Wyoming) that deserve recognition too. It is a mistake on the part of some (due to coloradotude?) to overlook the contributions of climbers and skiers in the Tetons to alpinism, ski mountaineering, and now ski film.
Good point Patrico! The list gets long once you start including all though categories and I would think with the progression of skiing now a days, those people will sooner or later be recognized.
