Ok, Ed (and Dave) got the first installment of ‘Name That Couloir’ (NTC) right, so I figured I’d showcase him in NTC #2! Sorry Ed, but you can’t play in this one. I think this NTC is much harder than last weeks, but I will give clues (in the comments) if no one seems to be on the right track…so stay tuned! I think I will give it a couple days before I reveal the correct answer, to allow others to post answers.
Please leave your answer in the comments section below the photo. Remember, if it’s your first time commenting, it might be a bit before I can approve your post…so chill. Thanks for Playing. 😀
Something off Buck?
hey well it’s certainly not once is enough. i almost want to say the north couloir on buck. the one in the middle, climber’s right of the bubble fun. but i seem to remember it being skinnier.
Bissell, I think you are referring to ‘Newk” Couloir.
Sorry…no hints quite yet! Maybe this afternoon. 😉
You guys are good. Go one more to the west Bissell and you got it.
South or the Ellingwood Couloir on the Middle
Bspack is correct…Northwest colouir off the West Peak of Buck. I would bet money on it. JH, you are way off; at least guess the right aspect man!!
Although the couloir is located to the NW of the Buck summit proper, I believe the aspect of it is N – NE. I always referred to it as North Couloir, West Peak of Buck. Jarad, at least get the right aspect, man!
Just busting your chops buddy. I love you, man.
Do I still have a place to stay when I visit?
BTW, I’m not saying that’s necessarily the right couloir, I’m just clarifying the couloir described in Jarad and Bspack’s answer…
Well you are right about that Ed.
That couloir is known as the North Couloir, Buck MT, West Peak.
Congratulations to Bspack and Jarad…I am true impressed, really.
NTC#2 IS the North Couloir of Buck Mt’s West Peak.
It is a great ski with some real consequences if you fall, cuz you traverse over some cliffs at the bottom to exit.
Thanks for playing!!!!!!
i actuallly prefer to call that couloir the “soft, warm fuzzy feeling couloir”, but hey thats just me.
ed bushnell – the pow is deep deep deep and we are all getting rad rad rad!
Bissell, you crack me up! When are we going skiing?
Ed, you still got a room but I might move you to the garage if you keep up your antics!! J
to the spackman brothers – let’s get out and ski again real soon but lately i am just too busy being rad rad rad soloing the pow pow pow.
