Another round…for your pleasure! 🙂
I was surprised that the last NTC was named correctly…well, sorta…so I feel like I need to challenge you a bit more. This photo was sent to me by one of the Spackman brothers. If you think you may have been on this trip, please refrain form giving the answer away. Thanks!
Ah-that’s a nice one! Known by some as the “Butt Crack” (story for a different post) and by others as the “V-Couloir”.
I apologize-got ahead of myself on this one and didn’t read the heading for the photo. The bro must of sent this one in. I will send in a replacement photo.
You’re forgiven bspack….this time!!!!!
Where is it located?
The V-Notch or Butt-Crack Couloir is found on the NE side of Prospectors Mountain and drops the skier into the cirque to the NE of the Banana Couloir.
There is typically a downclimb/rappel in the upper third of the couloir…at least there was when I skied it. I think there is a story about one of our visitors (not to mention any names) falling after trying to jump over the rocks. But I will let him decide if it’s worth telling. 😉
He didn’t fall. He was pushed.
Trust no one, especially me.
