I’ve done some pretty exciting side-stepping in order to keep the skis on while moving through a tight and rocky section of a decent (like here and here) and this guy looks to have had an exciting one himself. But, would someone please translate what he says (especially at 1:38)? It seems like knowing what he says after he nearly slides down the couloir would be kinda nice.
nothing to be too amped about, he just state that it’s huge… (going trough that with the skis on i guess)
He should’ve straight-lined it… 🙂
at this point, why bother with skis?
Because taking them on and off and putting them on your backpack can be a PITA sometimes when you are in the steeps? Granted…its probably safer.
First thing he says: snow is like concrete here
Second: I almost took that one to the melon (paraphrased)
Third: he comments that the section he just sidestepped is rad
Tres sketchy! He was not even close to being done. Just throw in an anchor, put on the spikes and get down in appropriate style until you can actually ski. IMO.
I think what he said was “I’m doing this so that some bro in the Tetons can judge.”
Different strokes for different folks drew. I thought it was cool POV…no biggie.
seb is rad! just met and skied with him in France last week. he is an IFMGA guide over there and filmmaker. probably did it in this style for fun and extra adventure.
Thats what i call getting after it! So good.
