So far, I’ve been having success with the pin upgrade for the Dynafit Radical bindings. I’ve had zero auto-rotations with the heel-piece since swapping out the pin, and no cracks or brakes have developed in the plastic housing. I’ve heard Dynafit is still working out another fix for the problem that will be worked into future production runs of the Radical bindings.
However, if you don’t like the idea of swapping out the pin or taking your binding apart, Maruelli has developed the Radical Anti-Twist that prevents the auto-rotation of the binding, as well as avoiding any chance of the pin causing breakage to the housing. It’s an interesting and simple concept, but I’m not sure if it is neccesasry since the Dynafit pin upgrade seems to be doing its job so far.
