I’ve been getting a lot of email’s lately of people asking me how I think the skiing is right now…if the snow is freezing at night…and about specific route conditions in general. Though I had heard reports of great skiing earlier in the week, I was a bit skeptical after what seemed to be a significant warming trend in the middle for the week. The good news is that I got out yesterday and found great frozen, consolidated snow on the Middle Teton. So if you’re thinking about skiing this weekend (I know I am), I would say….go for it!!! You’ll be happy you did.
Have a fun weekend!
Dude, I am so insanely jealous – excellent work. Got out and skied South Sister last leek in Bend, OR and it had me jonesing for the Tetons.
Right now I’m off for a mtn bike ride in 90+ degree heat. Look for me up that way in early August – maybe there’ll be something left to ski.
At least you’ve been getting out Colin. Nice! I’m thinking about going for turns-all-year this year.
