Don’t you hate it when you hike your skis and 65lb pack through blazing heat 12 miles into the backcountry, only to be denied your objective and hike out the next day because of a blister? Well I do! Luckily, it wasn’t my blister…and I didn’t have to drive 6 hours to get it. Oh well, guess I should have quit while I was ahead.
BTW, the mosquitoes have officially arrived above 10K’ in the Winds…and they are HUNGRY!!!!
How timely. I have two of those just about that size one on each heel. Hiked in to do the U-notch (900 ft. snow/ice gully) and N. Palisades 14teener in the Sierras this last weekend. Drove 6+ hours to get to the trail head and hiked in for 8+ hours with a small rack and two axes. This is the second try on this puppy!
I’m wondering if I just wasted $350 on my new boots!?
Wearing my crocks while my heels heal.
Ouch…that hurts. Third time should be a charm though…right?
Ugly. Why don’t You use compeed blister plaster(http://www.amazon.co.uk/Compeed-71510-Blister-Plaster/dp/B000NDEYOM)? Works best if applied when blister is small. Stays for a few days.
in the states we have a product called blisto-ban…which looks similar. unfortunately we didn’t have either with us on the trip.
Oh come on, that one was just a baby. So you guys turned back? I posted our pics from our trip this weekend on facebook. I’ll send them ove rif you want.
